Please Excuse the Interlude: AAN is Back in Town

Don’t worry! AAN has not abandoned you. There were a lot of exciting, cutting-edge art openings in St. Louis this week, and we have not forgotten about them. Look for new posts THIS weekend!

AAN spent the week on vacation traversing around North Carolina, visiting some really great exhibitions like a Romare Bearden retrospective and Sheila Hicks’ floor-to-ceiling, colorful sculptural installations from the past 50 years at The Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte.  AAN also traveled to Raleigh to Duke University’s Nasher Museum in see a really thorough, all-the-best-names survey, The Deconstructive Impulse: Women Artists Reconfigure the Signs of Power, 1973-1991. But enough about that. AAN is back in town!
