We’ve got something the Tate doesn’t have

Everyone in London is going ga-ga over the new Gerhard Richter Retrospective exhibition at Tate Modern. BUT did you know that right over at the St. Louis Art Museum, our city has some seriously awesome stuff done by this prolific German painter? From realist painting based on photography (Betty is seen on postcards in museums all over the world) to huge works of gestural abstraction (like December), go to the third floor of SLAM or their online Richter gallery and you’ll get your own mini-Richter lesson – without having to travel across the Atlantic.
