Did you have a disappointing black Friday? Or have you not even start thinking about shopping yet? Do not despair because Cherokee Print League’s 4th Annual Holiday Sale has you covered. On Saturday, December 3rd from 10am – 7pm, expect printmakers and galleries to be open along Cherokee Street buzzing with plenty of demonstrations, custom-made items, printed fabrics, and galleries featuring print-related artists. Elysia Mann, co-founder of All Along Press said over the phone that the event is “one of the best ways to get a taste of an artist’s community that is like a big happy family of printmakers…all in one day…with coffee, mexican food, and vitrines…[plus] art and music.” This year features some new aspects, like the free passports and tote bags that can be picked up at any of the participating locations (listed below). The passports feature a self-guided tour and act as a kind of scavenger hunt guide, with each venue giving out a stamp and a prize for collecting all of the stamps. There’s also new artists participating and food vendors. So come spend your Saturday at Cherokee St and support local businesses while stocking up on unique, hand-made gifts. See you there!
